Sarah Hamilton’s Journey with Reiki

Nearly a decade ago Sarah Hamilton personally witnessed and felt the benefits of Reiki. Her experiences inspired her to study Reiki, and create business so anyone in the Denver Metro area may receive its benefits while in the comfort of their own homes or workspaces.

How It All Began

Sarah’s story with Reiki began in 2012 when her mom was admitted to the Denver Hospice Inpatient Care Facility. The ancient energy healing modality, Reiki, was one of the amazing alternative therapies offered to patients. Sarah was in the room when the practitioner came in and offered to provide Reiki.

Sarah sat quietly in a chair for about an hour while the Reiki practitioner moved her hands over her mom. Not only did her mom’s pain and anxiety lessen, but a feeling of peace and calm also came over the room. A week later Sarah’s mom passed away. Two weeks later Sarah’s aunt also passed away at The Denver Hospice but not before she was able to experience the power of Reiki.

Sarah had been interested in becoming a Reiki Master since she first witnessed the benefits at hospice in 2012. In the spring of 2017, Sarah began her Reiki training and completed it later that summer. Immediately Sarah began using the skills she learned to give back to the patients at the same hospice where it all began.

Helping Others With Reiki

The moment Sarah knew there was more power to Reiki than she could have possibly imagined occurred when her son was playing in the high school state baseball championships. Sarah’s daughter had just returned from her first year away at college and hadn’t yet experienced the power of Reiki. Sarah was sending Reiki symbols to the field for protection and peace for the players of the game.

Sarah’s daughter was not sure what her mother was up to and asked skeptically what she was doing. Sarah replied that she was sending Reiki to the field. Her daughter was not convinced that Reiki would do anything. When the game was over the first thing that Sarah’s son said after coming off the field from a win was, “Mom! Were you sending me Reiki?” Sarah responded, “How did you know?” Her son stated, “I have never felt so calm!”

After Sarah completed her second level Reiki training she was asked to help a friend who had just had a double mastectomy. She arrived at her friend Mary’s house at 9:00 am to her friend begging her husband for more pain pills. Mary’s next dose of medicine wasn’t to be taken until 10:00 am. Sarah suggested Mary try Reiki. Mary agreed and laid down on the couch. Sarah began to move her hands over Mary’s body channeling the Reiki energy. 45 minutes passed and Sarah asked Mary how she was doing. Mary replied that she was no longer in pain. They began to talk and watch television together and realized an hour later that she had forgotten to take her next dose of medication.

Sarah Hamilton to offered Reiki to the patients and their family members at the Denver Hospice until the Covid pandemic closed the inpatient facility to volunteers. Sarah then began offering her services using the time tested distance method.
